I still wonder why any of our veterans would support Trump. Several of our recent leaders weren’t in the military; but Trump’s the only one who didn’t serve and actually showed disrespect to those who did.

I find it funny that in the USA the president is the chief of the military and carries the biscuit (nuke authorisation codes) but doesn't have to serve in the military for a specified term in order to be allowed to be in charge of it.

@Patriot96 Senior did serve in the military, exposed to significant combat as a fighter pilot. W served in the National Guard.

@Patriot96 W is a Vietnam era veteran who served stateside. Had a cousin who was combat infantry in the Mekong Delta a year after I was born (‘68) (and is a hardcore conservative today) who is voluble in his contempt for strings being pulled to get W that slot
