He is proud that people were willing to die for him. He would like it even more if people actually DID die in his service. It is a cult, no different from Jim Jones and Jonestown. If you listen to his sermons, even the verbiage is similar. Hopefully it doesn't have a similar outcome.

@windinhishair if he sends them out on this mission again, he will get what he desires.

@Carla I am afraid that will happen. Trump is absolutely petrified at the moment. He will do literally anything to avoid the humiliation of an indictment and arrest. His fragile psyche cannot handle it.

@windinhishair well...i hope it sends him over the edge before it's too late.
As much as i detest the actions and words of his cult, i have no desire to see them dead or in prison because of him.

@Carla When this is all over and done with, and we are looking back at it, millions of people will wonder how they could have been so devoted to such a criminal. Cults have an amazing hold on people.

@windinhishair they do. Ive seen many interviews with ex cult members, ex nazi sympathizers, etc.
If they aren't denying knowledge, they are torn about their gullibility.
No one comes out whole.
It is very sad

@Carla I agree. The saddest thing to me is that these are genuinely good people, many of whom have difficulty making ends meet, who have been massively misled for a long time. They have been conditioned to hate their fellow citizens and to oppose their own self-interest, ceding it to an authoritarian demogogue who cares solely for himself. They are just a mechanism to achieve his ends, and will be discarded whenever necessary. Some of the January 6 insurrectionists are realizing that now.

@windinhishair look what it took though. When they have consequences to face, they turn.
Still very selfish. Still hard to forgive.
And it is sad.

@Carla I find it profoundly sad more than anything.
