@SW-User He's not going to be handcuffed or do the perp walk. The DA and the Secret Service are working out the details right now.

I can tell you what will happen. He will walk into court, plead "not guilty," and be released on his own recognizance. He will have to give up his passport and possibly wear an ankle monitor. Keep in mind, the Secret Service are sworn to protect the former president on behalf of the American people, not on behalf of Trump as a person. If he tries to escape, they will stop him and hand him over to law enforcement.

@LeopoldBloom Well, in theory that is what they would do. But we know that the Secret Service destroyed communications on and around January 6 so they could not be reviewed, so their actual loyalty to the nation cannot be determined for that time period for at least some of their members.

@bijouxbroussard But this isn't just speculation. The DA is coordinating with the Secret Service and law enforcement is preparing for riots. Trump himself said he will be indicted.

@Vin53 the report is that he will voluntarily present himself, so no "perp walk," but he will have to be processed like any other person being indicted, which means fingerprinted, photographed (can you even imagine his mug photo) and arraigned before a magistrate! Many people who have been screwed by the tRump family will enjoy watching the proceedings. Let us hope and pray that the element that claims they don't riot, that claim to be law abiding citizens, don't go wild when this happens!
