He won't win the nomination. We'll back DeSantis. Trump won't get us a red wave. DeSantis will though.
@MrSmooTh What's the cost of that battle, though?

Biden has two years I'm the White House to piss on Republican obstructionism, and blame it on Trump. I'm not saying I back you, but I think you or DeSantis but I think you need to move forward quickly and decisively.
Smurfy · 26-30, F
@MrSmooTh U setting yourself up for major disappointment thinking like that
MrSmooTh · 31-35, M
@Smurfy Maybe I'll just move to Florida and hope to fuck DeSantis doesn't run for President then.

The guy doesn't have to run. A billionaire who could walk away and live happily with his ultra hot super model wife and family. No one else has come close to taking the nonstop, deep state attacks. Yet, he knows they'll continue for at least two more years, plus another four years if he wins. No one does that because of ego. He's running because he knows what's at stake for the country and for the world.

All great points. From what I've read there's a little gray area around MAGA Inc. Not sure if they can funnel to legal fees though. That was actually my first thought when he announced. He's looking for a way to drain more cash from the believers. There must be a way for him to do it. Can't imagine him having any other reason to run than self-preservation.
Unfortunately, just because they’re not supposed to show favoritism doesn’t mean they won’t. The GOP has proven capable of and willing to break any number of rules when it comes to Trump.
Nanoose · 61-69, M
@bijouxbroussard Well those days of the GOP willing to break any number of rules when it comes to Trump might be over. I think they are going to start being willing to break any number of rules when it comes to Ron DeSantis’s. Cheers!
So good.. the dems have already started let’s get trump season 3..

But he’s no threat yo.. lolz

An excellent Republican nominee is his or her late 40’s - mid 50’s may work under the radar and lock up thr nomination easily winning the presidency in 2024.
@Diotrephes It's hard to say which one is more despicable.

@ManKing Rule number 1: don't interrupt your opponent when he's making a YUGE blunder!!!
Crazywaterspring · 61-69, M
trump has to raise money to pay his attorneys who have learned to be paid upfront.

It is good for the corporate press. They don't have to explain things to the public or risk offending advertisers. The press is lazy and gleefully reports on whatever craziness trump spews.
Ynotisay · M
@Crazywaterspring Just to toss this out there, I'm pretty tight with some top-tier reporters and Trump falls in their beat. I think they're over it. I've heard "I feel dirty" a couple of times. Journalists have to report on what he says and that means they have to walk a line. Not an easy line to walk.
Baremine · 70-79, C
@Crazywaterspring every attorney I know gets paid up front except ambulance chasers.
I get the RNC thing, but I'm a little fuzzy on Super PACs paying his legal fees.
Trump officially entering the presedential race is Christmas coming early for the Democrats!!

Trump cannot win a general election in the US, but he can and will wreak havoc for republicans in their primary. He can and will suck up most of the money and most of the attention from more viable candidates. This is all good for Democrats and for America!!
BackyardShaman · 61-69, M
Thing is, there are tons of people and corporations that like chaos since they have a lot to hide. They can and will feed money to Trump and his lawyers. The RNC also feel they are above the rules and are not used to being held accountable.
Virgo79 · 61-69, M
They'll break him eventually just like the country.

The liberals will have material to keep cnn in business.

@SW-User No more Trump from Baldwin on SNL. The guy they have now, James Austin Johnson, is SO good. He went with the realistic impression. He's on it. This is from last week. Starts at about 3:10.
