How does Trump overvaluing his own apartment or ignoring development restrictions at Mar-a-lago in FLORIDA concern New York AG?

First off, if Trump overvalued his apartment, that would mean he's paid more taxes on it than he should have... Which can only mean the state owes Trump money,. 馃ぃ Secondly, Mar-a-lago is not in New York; it's in Florida. New York AG has no jurisdiction in Florida.

Trump routinely undervalues his properties for tax purposes, and inflates their values for loan collateral and insurance. I'm sure you knew that, because it is part of the lawsuit.

How smart of you to figure out that Mar-a-Lago is in Florida. Now tell us where the Trump Organization is based. That would determine where the AG has jurisdiction. I knew you could do it!

Can you provide any specific examples? I'm not disputing that. What I'm disputing is that overvaluing one's own apartment constitutes a crime.

I don't know where it's based and that has no bearing on the case. Development restrictions are set by the local municipality where the property is located. The city where Mar-a-lago is located has listed Mar-a-lago as a national historical landmark. In accordance with the city's zoning code, private clubs can provide living quarters to a "bona fide employee."

Sigh....
His business is headquartered in new york city.
When securing loans from new york lenders, all properties within the trump portfolio could, and likely would, be used to secure those loans.

There was more than 200 of them in today's lawsuit.

@RocktheHouse As was pointed out correctly by others, the location of incorporation IS directly relevant to the case.

I suggest you read the 200+ specific cases in the court filing. I'm glad you brought up "one's own apartment." Trump claimed his penthouse apartment had a value based on its size of 33,000 square feet. There is just one problem with that. Using actual measurements, it is 11,000 square feet. Trump lied as usual.
