Should we stop treating Trump voters like Morons?

I think it is a cautionary tale.

Dissecting Trump's rise and putting it into the context of other Fascist/authoritarian rulers will occupy people for years.

We need to figure out how to effectively recognize & stop the rise of such persons...

@SomeMichGuy We already know the precursor behaviors and techniques used to effectively draw people in to cults via brainwashing. What we don't know is how to keep folks from falling under the spell of these charismatic but ethically malignant cult leaders.

Every generation since recorded time has witnessed the rise and fall of said "cultist" Just yesterday, I posted about a hospital administrator I worked with a very brilliant medical man, yet he said, "What happened in Nazi Germany could never happen in the US" I was livid and so taken aback at such blatant ignorance I couldn't speak.

Apparently there IS a percentage of the population that crave and actually (consciously or sub-conciously) seek out these dominant types as though by some need to be led by the nose and made into a slave who will follow without question.

My own opinion is somehow much of humanity actually believes we NEED to live in fear and be worshippers of some higher power. So much so that reason, a sense of self will, and the search for "soul" redemption has left many in s state of mental stupor and helplessness.
