Should we stop treating Trump voters like Morons?

Is it worth trying to understand them (the more radical Trump supporters) on a technical, legal or analytical level? Are they confused rational Conservatives who will see the light when presented with facts? Are they complete idiots who have been duped?

The latter might have some truth, judging by SW, but there is an element of willfully going along with the Trump train because they want to. They want to believe the news sources that represent their worldview. There is an element of suspending disbelief like people do when engaging with entertainment. After all, Trump was (and still is) a reality TV star.

Trump also pisses off people they hate better than anyone else aive. He pisses off people like you and or me and has brash confidence that makes people feel stronger through him.
