He's a semigod to them, so above rules by definition; but above all he enabled them to unleash their worst sociopath sides, with the promise they won't suffer consequences - if he's the first to suffer consequences the whole myth falls.
Notice how also the Jan 6th man-bovine hybrid (and the rest of the brigade) acted like they were going to face no consequences altogether, some even hinting they would've been pardoned, until reality hit them like a train lol

@bijouxbroussard And that's why some of them are so obnoxious about screaming "election fraud" and/or insisting they'll win in 2024, it starts to feel like they might very well be screwed. Which is also what makes them desperate and dangerous enough to pull more sh*t like Jan 6th
