Too soon to tell. They had better be right and not just on a fishing expedition. Anyone who thinks this raid was pulled off without those in charge of the country knowing about it is just crazy. If indeed the Whitehouse didn't know, like they say, then that speaks volumes about who is really in charge.
@bowman81 Do you honestly think they could be right? And if they are, what about Hillary with blood on her hands? What about the dismissal of all those incriminating tapes? Remember if they can do this to him, they can do it to us!

@NoGamesTolerated I have prepared and executed hundreds of search warrants. Each time an affidavit was approved by a prosecutor and signed by a judge establishing that there was probable cause that evidence of a crime was in a particular place to be searched. Each time a return is left stating what they were looking for and what was confiscated.

So far I have heard speculation, and rumors but have not seen what crime, or what evidence they were looking for, nor what if anything they got.

Without knowing more I can't make a judgement.

I can make the judgement that either the Whitehouse is lying about not knowing, or they are not in charge because it is inconceivable to me that any one could get a search warrant with such political ramifications without approval from the very top.

@bowman81 You really think they had warrants to open the safes?

@sunsporter1649 Have you seen the warrant? I have not. It is legal to search anywhere at the location where the stated evidence might reasonably be found.

One could not look in a dresser drawer if you were looking for a stolen car. On the other hand if looking for a stolen diamond ring one could look in anyplace or container that could reasonably contain the ring.

My point is I don't have enough information. Could documents be hidden in a safe? Sure they could. The questions that need to be answered are:
1: did they have probable cause to believe that evidence of a crime was there?
2: was this some sort of stunt or political dirty trick?

I don't have enough evidence to make the call on either. It is incumbent on the Department of Justice (the executive branch) to give us that information so we can do more than make a kneejerk reaction. The optics and timing stink.

@bowman81 To open a locked safe a separate warrant is required by law, but since demonocrats do not believe in the law you can bet your bippy there was no warrant

@sunsporter1649 Have you read the warrant? I have not.

@bowman81 whats ur hunch, bowman...u sound like a real pro.

@Wiseacre Ain't nobody seen the warrant, except for the nazi's that issued and carried it out
@sunsporter1649 According to Trump's attorney who was actually there, the FBI showed them the warrant from 10 feet away and refused to give them a copy. So, only a handful of people actually know what's in the warrant and whether it's legit. Given the FBI's credibility, this smells like a new phase of the witch hunt.
@BizSuitStacy And that is what I think will happen from here on out.. ‘They will do just what they want to do and all of hell stands behind them.
