I don't think Trump is as dumb as he pretends to be. I think a lot of what he says that the media latch onto is done deliberately as a form of gaslighting anyone who doesn't politically agree with him. He couldn' have gotten to be and stayed as rich as he is now if he were a fucking moron like he makes himself out to be. He's just a manipulative jerk who gets off on hurting people and making other people believe he is actually great at the same time so that he can play the two groups off of each other.
