When Hillary started losing to Obama in the 2008 primaries, Bill Clinton called Teddy Kennedy in an effort to get Teddy to endorse Hillary. In the course of the conversation, Bill is alleged to have said, "A few years ago, this guy would have been getting us coffee."

It was the wrong thing to say to Teddy.
