Should Obama be arrested? I’m sure you’ve seen tidbits in news about it.

Obama’s greatest sin from a British point of view was telling us to stay in the EU. By saying that he put our backs up, and caused a few people to vote Leave.

It was a wafer thin vote to Leave.

But to be fair, Cameron should have not set the bar so low. The greatest mistake of a British PM since Suez

Tony Blair was much more shrewd, he would not give the British people the vote at all.

Why did Obama not keep his big mouth shut.

@peterlee that is a rhetoric question!
peterlee · M
@samueltyler2 No he put our backs up.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@peterlee i get that, i meant your question, why couldn't he just keep quiet, only he could answer that, if at all. It appears that a lot of Europe is still moving towards the populist approach, let us hope the EU remains intact. NATO is still under attack by the POTUS, and Russia, i can only hope it can sustain itself.

@samueltyler2
We now stand alone as America moves back towards isolationism.
@peterlee Blair also collaborated with Baby Bushstain43 to start the Iraq war, re: the Downing Street memos of March 2001.
@peterlee Did you do well by leaving the EU, in the end ? Did Brexit improve things ?

I’m honestly asking, because I don’t live there.

And Obama gave his opinion the same way your leaders express opinions about our country and others.

@NativePortlander1970 Blair was no Attlee, I agree. But he towers above Starmer.

@bijouxbroussard Britain is in rapid decline. Basically , it is a failed state now.

@peterlee GB chased off the Romans, Winston helped win WW II, Starmer needs to go and bring the House of Lords back to make GB great again

@peterlee These are turbulent times that we live in.

Freedom of speech is curtailed in the UK over illegal immigration and mention of Palestine.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@peterlee that is an understatement. We live in very dangerous times. There are grave similarities between these times and theg1930s.

@samueltyler2 Thank you. Our views concur.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@peterlee i am very frightened, the only way we got out of that, was to fight a war. right now there are several tinder boxes exploding.
@peterlee I don't think the UK has true freedom of speech, otherwise Peter Lynch would not have been arrested over his anti immigration stance, and later taken his own life, nor would have Tommy Robinson been continuously arrested either.
peterlee · M
@NativePortlander1970 Much more moderate views than those are curtailed.
@peterlee The point is that GB arrests those who they think is hate speech, you pretty much said it.
