No, and legally Trump would have no leg to stand on, since his own hand-picked Supreme Court ruled that a president is immune from prosecution for anything done as president during his time in Office. So if Trump can’t be arrested (and remember, he was a convicted criminal when elected last year), there’s no justification —other than Trump’s racism— for going after Obama almost ten years after he’s left office.

@bijouxbroussard but, wouldn't it serve a purpose to have the DoJ go after them in the open. then there would be no denial of the fact the DoJ is no longer interested in justice! Columbia University, U of P and UVA all folded under the bullying. Let us call their bluff, go ahead and indict the former presidents, all of the way back to the now dead Bush! Make them show their cards! It is too late to worry about how the world sees us anymore, we are the laughing stock of the world.

@samueltyler2 I don’t trust Trump, MAGA or any of the GOP (Guardians of Pedophiles) as far as I could throw any one of them. It wouldn’t serve any purpose because they’re not interested in the law. If they were, Trump wouldn’t be president in the first place. I worry they may see how far they can push it.

@bijouxbroussard let them go ahead, let us get it over with. i am looking for where to go to get out of this country if the worst actually happens. we are at about the same stage as Germany was in 1931ish. I do not want to wait until it is too late. Did you see how much they are authorizing for concentration camps to be built? I just saw that over $1 billion is already going to Texas to build one big tent city! >

@samueltyler2 I don’t agree with you, I don’t want that; not everyone is privileged enough to be able to just pick up and leave. 🥺
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@bijouxbroussard that is what happened in Germany in 1930-2. I agree it isn't fair, but it is reality. But, the longer this festers and doesn't come to a head so it can be dealt with, the more the boiling frog effect happens.
bijouxbroussard · F
@samueltyler2 It goes beyond not being fair—it’s literally against our Constitution. And it’s exactly what happened in Nazi Germany, which is why I don’t want it repeated. The reality is you may have the means to emigrate. I don’t.

@bijouxbroussard i hope by bringing things out intop the open, none of us will have to leave. the tr=urning the other cheek or whatever metaphor you care to use, only emboldens the radical right more. With Columbia, U of P, UVA, CBS, the big law firms, all capitulating we are beyond the tipping point. Maybe if the radicals really do something crazy, like indicting former president Obama, the country will wake up. The real problem is even if they do, what recourse do we really have? We are a democracy based on he rule of laws and elections, we cannot have a redo!
bijouxbroussard · F
@samueltyler2 I’m certainly not talking about turning any other cheek. You said they should go on and do it. I want them stopped before they can take things to a point where they can’t be stopped.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@bijouxbroussard the only way that you can stop the conspiracists is to call their bluff.
bijouxbroussard · F
@samueltyler2 Didn’t we try to call their bluff when they said they’d run him even as a convicted criminal ? Yet he managed to get elected ! We’ll still be "calling bluffs" on the way to the camps at this rate.

@bijouxbroussard the country and the world needs to see just how evil and wrong the MAGA world is, in plain sight. The election was bizarre to say the least, and who is to say how much outside influence there really was. how about the allegations that in some left leaning, democrat voting precincts, there were zero recorded votes for the democratic party, all of the way up and down the ballot?
