Do right-wingers actually think Hitler and the Nazis were socialists because “socialist” is in the name?

Do they know why the Nazis called their party “socialist”?

If a name is synonymous with ideology, then that must mean Antifa really is antifascist and anyone who opposes them is a fascist. I’m sure these same people would agree with that, no?

On another note, I'm a real pedant for classical political definitions. I know I'm sarcastic AF and I take the piss out of people but at heart, I'm very literal. If right-wingers have good-faith arguments and know what they are talking about then I respect that, even if the results of their policies are awful.

On this site, you literally get blocked or downvoted before you can even get to that point.

@Burnley123 Same here, though when they’re claiming Hitler was a left-wing progressive, I begin to lose patience. I don’t know any leftists who try and claim every evil person in history was right-wing, but right-wingers seem all too willing to make that claim about the left.
