Do right-wingers actually think Hitler and the Nazis were socialists because “socialist” is in the name?

Do they know why the Nazis called their party “socialist”?

If a name is synonymous with ideology, then that must mean Antifa really is antifascist and anyone who opposes them is a fascist. I’m sure these same people would agree with that, no?

Yes, many do still believe that. And the historical fact that just as many socialists were imprisoned along with the Communists (because the Nazis hated leftists) makes no dent in that misconception.
