A question about Presidential vacations.....

When a President goes on an official vacation, there is obviously a great deal of expense and logistics involved.Given this,do you think a President should restrict them only to the official retreat of Camp David?

Trump uses Mar-A-Lago as a side business while he's in office..............and he sets how much he wants to charge taxpayers. Camp David will make him nothing. By going to Mar-A-Lago he can charge for lodging for EVERONE that travels with him...meals for everyone...golf for everyone...golf cart rentals.......digital services charge.....Mar-A-Lago security services....electricity...water....sewage charges.........office space for everyone....meeting rooms.....entertainment. This is how he can back charge taxpayers $3.2 million for EVERY weekend he goers to his on property. And that $3.2 million goes straight into trumps pocket...........every week.. When Musk stayed at Mar-A- Lago his one room suite was back charged to us for $6500 per night....whether Musk stayed on property or not. But he's saving us sooooooooooooooo much money. smh

To save you the math............trump HAS RAKED IN $96 MILLION SO FAR IN HIS 8 MONTHS IN OFFICE DOING THS running this scam. At this rate.......according to his own GAO.........he will make approximately $296 million in this 4 years in office doing this.,.........conservatively/
But on the bright side............as trumpers love to brag........ he don't take his $400k salary per year. ;-) What a guy.

@MaBalzEsHari i think they said he doubled his wealth.. most wait till after office to profit from being there... they become paid lobbyist and have friends

@markinkansas Part of that total doubling comes from his out in the open pay to play crypto scheme. That is nothing more than a money laundering scheme to wash dark or illegal money from cash to crypto and back to cash.........and it is a way to take in direct bribes and payoffs from foreign and/or political or corporate entities that do not get identified because of banking privacy laws.

@MaBalzEsHari now you do not need a country to wash money clean.. ya got crypto.. ok makes sense .

Donald Trump has golfed 51 days out of 213 days since returning to office (23.9% of the presidency spent golfing).

Biden and Trump spent equal amount of time on vacation. This means that if you contend that Biden spent all 4 years on vacation, then you have concede that Trump did the same.

The difference is that Biden spent most of it at home in Delaware or Camp David.

Trump spent most of it at his own properties, and charged the tax payers for lodging for his staff and the secret service.

Now if you want to stick to your own question, then the answer should be no, the President should not be paying for his vacations. it's one of the perks of the job and should remain that way.
They shouldn't take so many of them, especially when the nation they're supposed to be in charge of is burning down around them.

@Bel6EQUJ5 Well, there have been Presidents who have abused the perk;,of course ,Biden was on vacation for pretty much is while four years. But the Presidency is a horribly stressful job ,and I can see how a President does need a rest to maintain their metal and physical health.
