It seems the now 69 yr old John Edwards, former vice-presidential candidate turned personal injury lawyer (ambulance chaser), is now all but forgotten. Do any of you remember him?

Met him, I wanted to like him but something just seemed off.

Thank you@BackyardShaman

I do. His first wife died of cancer. He was quite an eloquent speaker too.

@Fungirlmmm Yes - NOT trustworthy.

"Democrat" party? Hmmm... your politics lean right?
Fungirlmmm · 51-55, F
@SW-User Middle normally. I don't ever vote straight ticket. I research every candidate before I go to the polls and i watch them closely to make sure they honor what they promised. my phone changed that for me btw.

@Fungirlmmm Well said (as usual).

Yes, he represented some poor little girl who had her intestines sucked out by a swimming pool drain! She (and he of course) got a lot of compensation. He had good hair (and paid a fortune for a haircut). Fathered a child to another woman while he was married (I THINK) and that's about all I remember. And I don't know anything about his present-day life.

He wasn't ever a host on 60 Minutes was he?

@JohnnySpot You got me to looking and this interesting bit popped up on a google search - https://www.today.com/popculture/couric-critics-feast-60-minutes-interview-wbna17818472

The only reason I do remember him is because 2004 was the only time since 1988 (and the only time since 2004) that a Republican won the majority vote of the people.
SW-User
@TrumpIsFinallyGone Hmmmm. No wonder the republicans will fight to the death to retain the electoral college. The will of the people be damned, eh?
TrumpIsFinallyGone · 41-45, M
@SW-User Absolutely. It's the only way the second place finisher in the vote total can win. Interesting how that works in a democracy isn't it. I'm waiting for the day they try to change a state's method of electing federal senators to office by means of how many counties they win.
SW-User
@TrumpIsFinallyGone I'm sure they've thought of it, smh.
Yes, I do. He pretty much crashed and burned when his affair with a campaign worker, and her child that he fathered, was outed.
