What's Bill Barr's place in history?

I'm thinking he's probably one of the most impactful Attorney General's we've ever had personally.

To be clear, I'm not a fan, but it sure seems like he's had a huge impact on American politics and the presidency, and he's still doing it, even out of office.

He's trying to rehabilitate his image, but the incident that defines Barr, is the one where he ordered the extrajudicial execution of Michael Reinoehl.

Try as he may, he was one of Trump's primary enablers.

I don't know how he would compare to the pre-1960 Attorneys General, but in the last 60 years, he is one of the worst along with John Mitchell (Nixon AG who served 19 months in prison for his role in Watergate) and Ed Meese (Reagan AG who lurched from scandal to scandal and resigned in disgrace after the Wedtech scandal). Barr never acted as AG but more as Trump's personal attorney. He will go down in history as one of Trump's primary enablers of his criminal behavior. His latest actions are aimed at redeeming his personal legacy, because he knows Trump is guilty of massive criminality and doesn't want to be tainted by it.

Too little too late.
