I Want to Be Happy And Make Others Be Happy

I feel as though i am different to everybody else. The way i think and live my life seems to be totally wrong. I live on my own with no new friends and i hardly feel like i have to contact my old friends for stimuli yet here i am online trying to connect no?!

So confused on how we should live our lives and be happy without judgment

Everyone is different from everybody. The way social interaction works is by minimizing how much you express difference. Meeting people on a level playing field.

Judgement will always be there. I dont think it's about avoiding judgement, but learning how to adapt to it.

"Being happy" is also an innately transient state. It cannot be maintained in perpetuity. This is the issue with seeking happiness. It comes only shortly and slips through your fingers quickly.

These are lessons i learned well growing uo as a drug addict. There is a peak and there is a low. The peak cannot be maintained indefinitely. The higher you get, the more stimulus needed to achieve happiness again. In other words, there is a tolerance. Even if you experience pure pleasure for a week straight, you will adapt to that level and require even more wonderfulness in order ti achieve that same feeling. In essence, happiness is a drug. Quite literally, as the only thing humans really seek is dopamine and serotonin. They just obtain it in different ways.

Contentedness, satisfaction with the overall state of ones life is much more stable and obtainable. Enjoying the happiness when it comes--in the moment, but letting it go gracefully when it leaves.

Of course, the dissatisfaction is also what makes one grow. So, there are still advantages to *seeking* and *working towards* happiness.
