I added spinach to my smoothie this morning for that extra nutritional umph.

My dad witnessing this from heaven, knowing how much of a tantrum I’d throw as a kid every time he added that green to my dinner plate…

As a dad .. I'm guessing more like

@PerfectionOfTheHeart I was 36 when oldest was born .. 50 in his early teens .. had lived a bit already. They grudgingly admit now that some of what I tried to instill in them wasn't so dumb after all.

@BrandNewMan I’m envious of that. I was 21 when my oldest was born and still had so much growing up to do. I didn’t acquire the actual knowledge needed to be successful in life until I was in my 40’s and had a better idea of who I was and how the world truly worked.
@PerfectionOfTheHeart We do the best we can and there are pros / cons to both ages. Would have liked to have been a bit younger, better able to keep up with them in some things in their teens to now.

Yeah. My mom wouldn’t believe that I eat things like Brussels sprouts and kale now.

@Harmonium1923 I’ve tried bougie brussel sprouts and I still can’t get onboard with it.

Oh purpose?!!!!!!

@Kiesel No. The spinach crawled past the leftover carbonara to find its way out of the fridge and insert itself into my blender. It’s like it knew my fridge is the place where healthy greens go to die 🥺
