Apparently, gay lives don't matter!

I was more than a little disheartened when I watched an interview of several highly intellectual leaders of several different African countries expressing their opinions of gay people,
A few sample comments from educated black men. "They are totally disgusting" " They are the antithesis of traditional family values, ( A frequent lie told in the USA) " We simply do not recognize them as part of our country's population" etc. etc.

Hatred of gays is on the rise in the USA especially by the so-called "Christian Nationalist" who want our rights to go the way of a woman choice.

I have heard a few blacks express they don't welcome "support" from guilt ridden liberal snowflakes", and similar other comments.

I may lean to the left and support social programs, I'm certainly not BLM out of guilt. It's the way I was brought up many decades ago. My mom and dad did not tolerate racism. PERIOD. I have ONE long time (Over a decade between SW and EP) black best friend here I know has my back with loyalty and emotional support.

I'm just hoping, many other black Americans will rise in defense of me and my fellow gays. We NEED to be accepted and enjoy the same rights others have. Thanks to those who have supported us all along, it means so much.

The unfortunate part is that a lot of that has to do with religious brainwashing. Many people of color who identify as conservatives are very devout, and like many of the devout, are hypocritically so. Hershel Walker is a prime example.

@bijouxbroussard It didn't take too awfully long for Mr. Walker to display his true colors, his credibility is a bit brittle at best.

@Grateful4you Tbh, I don’t think he was ever really hiding them. His own family asked him not to run for office, especially not trying to appear as some "family values" icon.
Wife abuser, philanderer, abandoned out of wedlock children, that was all destined to come out.

@bijouxbroussard I kind of figured that out last night. Do you have a clue about the latest Kanye West message through marketing "White lives matter" Tee's? I haven't a clue what he is trying to express? Simple sarcasm as a joke?

@Grateful4you Personally, I just don’t think he’s sharp enough for that, but in his case mental illness is always a factor.

@bijouxbroussard I have only ever seen where he visited Trump and has (or had) some kind of relationship with the Kardashian woman, I saw where she says she thrives on chaos so it follows, she and Kanye both share profitable mal-adaptive mental deficits... kind of dysfunctional soul mates as it were.
