As of now, I don't block anyone

I've unblocked everyone I blocked before. I feel no need for censorship. To do so is juvenile and overrated at best.

Sorry. I didn't mean to disparage anyone. I'm sure you all have your reasons for blocking. I only meant that if I did it, it'd be for pointless reasons.
@Belladonna I saw no reason for you to apologize. The options like mute/block are exactly what they are - options. They are for your convenience should you decide to implement one or both. Do what you need in order to feel comfortable with this site.

@onrealityofdreams I feel like blocking is a form of censorship, and I am SO vehemently opposed to censorship that, for me to block anyone, would be hypocrisy.
@Belladonna Your stance is admirable and I applaud your refusal to venture into what so much as appears to be the dark and dangerous fields of censorship and hypocrisy.

I block because it eliminates the riff-raff.
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
@cherokeepatti To harass people and feel you have a right to roll over thier boundaries is far more juvinile in my opinion than blocking
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Justmeraeagain just like in real life if people don’t respect boundaries or they constantly start stuff I block them too.

Cool.. I rarely block.. but the political people.. some are like bots.. they just are so close minded and repetitive and tribal and seem so sad and bitter inside, I can't be around that kind if toxicity.

call me an overrated juvenile, then. ;)

now you'll only miss the ones who've blocked you. :)

Thats your choice but mine stay blocked which is MY choice
Censorship is preventing someone from voicing their opinion. Nowhere is it written that I have to listen to it.
Belladonna · 41-45, F
@Mamapolo2016 For me, preventing it from being seen by me is censorship. To each their own, and I respect your stance.
@Belladonna Likewise.
It was kind of you to release those on your block list. The burden in now upon them to prove to you that act was not a mistake.
SilkenMist · 46-50, F
Some people block others left and right. They enjoy it.
What they do not realize is that THEY are the problem, not everyone they blocked.
USUALLY the blockers are the same people who never say anything interesting nor funny anyways.

So when they block, it hurts others about as much as if a bill collector said, "No, I do not want your money!"
JohnOinger · 41-45, M
I block rude people who dont like my post otherwise they will come to my post and not Scroll down and ignore it
JohnOinger · 41-45, M
@JohnOinger But you have the right to not Block anymone
SilkenMist · 46-50, F
@JohnOinger You do not typically get involved in drama though.

Of course some folks on here, not you though, will block others for practically nothing, like that weaver guy.

He blocked one person for making the idle comment, "global warming is no joke". I mean if the poster had said, "Trump is an in-grown wart hair on a dog's butt" then okay understandable but my gyod, how petty ARE some people?
AdaXI · 41-45, T
No I've never blocked anyone, not saying I won't ever but I never felt a need to.
