The Not-So-Cruel City

This morning I saw from my window an older man from the neighborhood fall down right in the middle of the street. Within 15 seconds 3 or 4 different men gathered around him to stop the oncoming cars and help him up. Once he was up theyspoke to him, and I saw him gesture to his building and one young man held him by the arm and escorted him home.
