What I was into just prior to coming back here
And to be sure i'm not really here, just posting again, I think i've replied to 2 other posts so far.
I was listening to SFF audiobooks, "Science fiction/ Fantasy" as that would be the neatest way to get into it. On Reddit there's a series EVERYONE talks about to the point it's a joke even, -- Dungeon Crawler Carl, the audiobooks narrated by one Jeff Hays is phenomenal, his voices for other characters actually sound like other people!! But I was gonna get onboard with Malazan Book of the Fallen, one of the more challenging SFF series out there.
But then it hit me, why am I doing that, when my mind is crying out for things more of an educational nature? I had gotten a Oxford ebook called The First Philosophers for just 5 bucks earlier, I started reading it while dad was telling me how many people hugged him and stuff, and I knew right then and there I need to study them fellers!!
What I got just now was an introductory volume for non-specialists by W. K. C. Guthrie, less than 200 pages, but is regarded as the best intro. I can't afford much this month because I had borrowed 400 for a new computer, a computer I ended up not needing!! haha but now I can have noise videos playing on both of them on each side of me so that my mice pals can just raise hell right beside me and I won't give a flying fudge about it.
