If the Pursuit of Happiness is protected by the US Constitution...

then how can they ban prostitution?

I'm just trying to be entertaining and ask funny thought provoking questions, not actually trying to change or promote anything.

I know this is because of religious influence, but I think it's absolutely bonkers that prostitution is illegal. We're talking about consenting adults selling a service that harms nobody, and that's illegal. But what makes it even crazier is that it is legal if it's filmed and sold.
So if I'm willing to have sex for money, I can't legally do so. But if I'm willing to have sex for money, then show the world, that's all good.
@BohemianBoo Supposedly it's actually to attempt to stop spread of diseases, as diseases were spreading like crazy due to shared bodies.

But yes also religious and morals stuff.
@sstronaut If that's the case, it should be legal so it can be regulated. The same way banning drugs hasn't worked, banning hooking hasn't worked.
