Is that what that feeling is called?..that slightly buzzed feeling that loses its potency when someone tries to engage in any sort of conversation, especially if its the nice doer.
My dogs used to make me feel that way too. I believe the chemical responsible is Oxytocin?
Before you ask, yes. They used to. They quit talking to me when they caught me scratching my balls. They were under the impression that i had them removed before they spontaneously exploded 😉🤫 like all balls do , dogs too😉😉.
Ok, so i lied to them in order to get their stedfast cooperation when the time came to have them neutered. What else could i do? They're 100 pound Doberman Pinschers. ..6 of them! ..and that's the real reason I had to have them neutered.
..and the real reason they don't talk to me anymore is because they've all passed on by now😒

@popmol i tried to make the most out of a situation a careless situation my wife put us in. She left our 2 Doberman Pinschers un chaperoned whike the female, Lucy, was in heat. 10 weeks later, were rolling in dobies. We had a litter of 9. ..5 red (brown), 4 black, 1 female.
The first plan was to sell them. Both parents came from champion lines. While caring for them, I kept noticing that,.. what was the feeling called? Molten heart? .. I Call It Puppy Love. It was a very good feeling and I wanted to share it with some of my brothers in arms who are coming home from the various Wars. I felt like if I would have had one when I got home, I would have a way better transition into civilian life
Upon research, I discovered that they had to be a year old before they can be evaluated for such service. So I figured I'll take care of them for a year and then transfer them over to the VA. During that year, a certain series of events occurred that may be decided that I'm going to keep them myself LOL

@Jayciedubb haha how nice! well dobermans are cool!
Jayciedubb · 56-60, M
@popmol they're the only breed that was invented by one man, Louis Doberman, a tax collector and dog catcher. They're the only breed invented for the sole purpose of human protection. Some people call them the dogs with the human brains.
popmol · 26-30, M
@Jayciedubb ooh i didn't know that!
Jayciedubb · 56-60, M
@popmol yes.. highly intelligent and although their only intended purpose was personal and family protection, the US military and law enforcement prefer using the Belgian Malinois, due to their insane agilities and jumping prowess, and they are completely Fearless. They have no problem returning to something they know is going to hurt them, where Dobermans learn their lesson and will be hesitant to perform a hurtful task a second time LOL
popmol · 26-30, M
@Jayciedubb ooh i see that makes sense! well we belgians made a cool dog then too
Jayciedubb · 56-60, M
@popmol you make nice guns too. I wish i woujd have got an FN SCAR 17 when i had the chance, but I couldn't justify the expense when all it would really be is another hole punch
popmol · 26-30, M
@Jayciedubb bah guns! they might be cool but also boring
Jayciedubb · 56-60, M
@popmol they certainly can be. That's for sure. But the most exciting and exhilarating times I've ever had in my life involved guns. They definitely hit both ends of the spectrum because some of the most boring times I've ever had in my life also involved guns.
..and don't get me wrong. It's not their intended purpose that fascinates me about them. They first and foremost must be visually appealing, like the M9 Beretta or Walther PPK. ...Colt Python. ..HK416. ...FN SCAR 17 😁
I have more fun plinking in my back yard with my bb guns. My son and I used to set up little battlefields with those little plastic green army men that are frozen in their pose. It was like playing chess. He would shoot my guys, i would shoot his.
Shooting paper targets is boring AF. I like to shoot things that will break or give some kind of feedback, like shooting shotgun primers, paintballs, ice cubes, xmastree lights, expired medicine tablets, shoot out lit candles.
You can cut up a string of xmas lights and run them in a parallel circuit, about 8 or 12 at a time using an old phone charging cable. Cut the end off and open up the cable. Use only the black and red wires. Black is the ground, red is positive. This is important if the lights you using are the LED type because LED lights are directional. If you hook them up and they don't work switch the wires. Incandescent lights will run in either direction. It doesn't matter
Guns are tools. I love tools. Guns are like remote control tools that require a certain level of skill to use properly.

@Jayciedubb well sure they look sleek and nice but none of these silly handguns like the walther PPK! give me a M1 garant! that satisfying reload sound? my god! pure ecstasy!

haha tht does sound like fun!
you should make a youtube channel and start shooting things and writing off the stuff you shoot as a tax writeoff!
yeah they are tools but they made war boring, history was interesting until guns and bombs came about, well at least automatic guns

@popmol missiles are what made war boring.
I agree with you about the M1 Garand. But I'd call it handsome before I call it beautiful. And what about the Mauser Model 98? Ive got one of those. It's an actual German one. I inherited it from my uncle who was in the process of converting it into a hunting rifle he stripped all the Army looking stuff off of it and was in the process of shaping the wooden stock when you put it on the back burner.
I'm thinking about taking the sites off of it and putting it on one of my PCP air rifles. It sucks. The most expensive guns I own are my PCP air rifles and none of them come with any sights, and only 1 magazine.. .. and one of them, maybe the most expensive one came with that chickenshit 3/8" (11mm) BB gun rail on it. I can't Mount any cool furniture on it. Just a scope and it splits the breach where the magazine slides in so it's got to be raised even higher than normal , creating more parallax so the magazine will clear. But it's one hell of a tack hammer. Right out of the box. It's the FX Revolution semi-automatic in 22 caliber

@popmol which second part? The stuff where I'm griping (humble bragging 😊) about my airguns? ..or the video. The video is of a jig i made to hold anf light up individual xmas lights, and me shooting them. Video is speeded up, but no cuts between shots
popmol · 26-30, M
@Jayciedubb it was the bragging about airguns bit
Jayciedubb · 56-60, M
@popmol the airgun stuff comes and goes in waves. Im just now getting back into it. It seems like they're pushing the limits on these PCP airguns more and more every month.
They're making. 22 caliber airguns that are comparable to their powder burning equivalent, in both muzzle velocity and energy delivered. ..and there are very few rules that govern them. ..and they're making them in big boy calibers too. ..up to, maybe beyond .75 caliber. Ive got a .30 caliber that shoots in semi or full auto, and pellets are so cheap compared to bullets.
