Sometimes when I don't understand something and it's not a personal comment that is no one else's business, I'll type in a comment into chat gpt and ask it what they meant if it's just a general comment.
The AI will even tell me if they mean to be manipulative or if it's a good faith comment haha. I usually won't ask anything specific, I'll just say, can you clear it up for me, I'm confused about what they're saying. And then I can ask further questions if necessary, like if they are being manipulative or if that's possible. The AI is super good at telling the difference.
I don't do it a lot as normally but if something is like unclear and I feel like I am beginning to get mad at the person due to lack of understanding I'll have it clear it up.
I even do it for reviews on books and things, then ask more specific questions.
