I really feel like I'm starting to heal parts of me that used to be ashamed of my culture the older I'm getting and I love it.

Even down to wearing the clothes I grew up wearing and speaking more of the language I avoided speaking. It's no wonder I'm better at English now🫩I technically grew up with both languages at the same time. I wasn't introduced to one before the other but it's still in me and that's all that matters.

How df can I be ashamed of the beauty and art in this? The soul it carries is beautiful🥹 [media=https://youtu.be/r_lxE7kF0Fo]

Are you Muslim or Hindu?
@Matt85 I'm Muslim. Culture and religion are not the same thing

@HijabaDabbaDoo There is some division, I agree.
@Matt85 no, not division. Just a difference between the two as far as I'm concerned.

@HijabaDabbaDoo It's blowing my mind a little bit 🤯 just thinking about it sorry
@Matt85 okay so I'm south Asian. South Asia is really diverse in religion.
We're talking mostly Hindus, Sikhs, Muslims but there's also Christians, Buddhists, Jains and Zoroastrians.
The culture I have is similar to that you'd find many desi (south Asian) Hindus and Sikhs to have. In terms of language, food and clothing.

I am however Muslim. We have different belief systems.
