I have gratitude...

For the fact that I actually hold respect and hope for those younger than me. I cannot imagine how terrifying the future must look for people who do nothing but look down upon the youth of today. They make jokes about tide pods, but I've heard stories from when they were young and a lot of them here not from intelligence or wisdom but pure dumb luck.

I think a lot of it has to do with being born before or after the internet became ubiquitous. To say that things weren't different, and motivated behaviors, is a little off.

I think it's normal for older people to look down on younger people because it's different from how they grew up. I shrug it off.
