I love driving in my car and suddenly noticing the beauty around me. Noticing the the feathery clouds, outstretched for miles across the cool blue sky. It was too beautiful to be real. It looked as though a painter had gingerly brushed in the bright whites along his sky-colored canvas, in order to share a moment of enjoyment with any onlookers that might have had the short-lived fortune to glimpse.
It's crazy to think that moments like this are constantly around us, but we're often too consumed by our work, schedules, or worries to notice them. I'm so thankful that today I was able to disconnect from all of that long enough to appreciate the beauty around me. I don't do it enough.
