It Feels Good When Someone Shows Sincere Appreciatiion

My wife and I were shopping at Sam’s yesterday when I heard a lady behind me say, “There’s a good-looking couple.” I turned to see a handicapped lady on an electric cart, and I recognized her as someone who comes to get food twice a month at the Food Bank where I volunteer. I said, “Why, Tammy, thank you!” She was shocked and smiled when she saw that it was me and gave me a high five. I asked her if she was going to change her opinion now that she knew it was me. She said, “No, you are a good looking couple.” I introduced her to my lovely wife, and Tammy told Lynn how much she appreciated the help that I have given her and her late husband over the years. It is really encouraging to receive unexpected, sincere thanks for your efforts.
