When I visited my family recently…

I was playing a lot of 80s music, whereupon my sisters got into a discussion (not argument, you understand) about the song "Everybody Wants to Rule The World" by Tears For Fears.

My youngest sister (49) claimed it as a "Gen X anthem" because it was a popular song with the teenagers of the day.

My middle sister (62) maintained that since Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith are Baby Boomers, it must be a "Boomer anthem" for those of us on the tail end of that generation.

I found the discussion interesting but left them to it. Either way, I think it’s a great song.

I saw them last year on tour, they were amazing.
@ShiftingGears Very cool. They’re still making good music, Roland’s still writing great songs.

@ShiftingGears Great show!! I also saw them a year ago yesterday and it was Curt Smith's birthday - and we all sung HB to him! So I guess his birthday was yesterday!
