I was born in 1960, and grew up in San Francisco, so I got to see some of those original flower children. I remember running errands with my mother in the Haight as a child and while I was looking in the window of a shop a young woman came up and kissed me on the forehead. Mom whisked me away and when we got home she scrubbed my face ! 🤭
I also remember a comment about the "Free Love" of the 60s:
"In the 80s, the bill came due."

@samueltyler2 Yeah, that wasn’t something I saw back then—although I was a teenager when "Oh Calcutta !" came to town.

@bijouxbroussard Yes, you are much younger. It is amazing how many people who became famous after the participated in the nude scene in the show Hair.
