Crazy to think how drive-in theaters and even audio dramas made a comeback in 2020

It was short-lived, but damn. 🥹 These obsolete forms of entertainment resurging at just the right time during a pandemic when everyone needed to stay indoors and/or stay quarantined. It's too bad it couldn't have lasted once everything went back to normal, but it was glorious.

I don't know if drive-in cinemas were ever even tried in Britain (perhaps the weather's a bit too varied!) but radio drama is alive and well. Definitely not obsolete here!

Though like many listeners I was dismayed by BBC Radio Three dropping its Sunday-evening slot of full-length (hour and a half) plays.
