I spent over two years renovating a hundred year old home I bought. I did it all except the roof and HVAC - those I had done. I get what you are saying about feeling good with all the little milestones.

@AlchemyFox Does your son get to help? It's a great way to teach him self confidence. On the other hand, each task they help with takes about twice as long.

@Ontheroad I have him help me with regular house chores. Which yeah it takes twice as long and not always the tidiest 😆 but he’s learning and willing to try to help. The other stuff has been too dirty.

@DunningKruger Yes we’re likely moving to AZ. Small place, make it sustainable. Greenhouse. Chickens. I want to build another camper but maybe 4x4. My son can have it all when he’s good with life and I’ll travel till I die. And lots of fun in between.
