I’m proud of myself. I have to be my own cheerleader right now 😝

I hit a little milestone on the renovation work today. I gotta celebrate the little ones, because my life shattered and all these tiny bits are not simple to put back together in my own chest. I’m making steady progress, but like a turtle 😆

I see no reason why we can’t be out of here by summer though. The only ache I have is selling my mom’s house. My childhood home. Damn life is weird but it’s the littlest things every day that keep my heart beating 🖤

I spent over two years renovating a hundred year old home I bought. I did it all except the roof and HVAC - those I had done. I get what you are saying about feeling good with all the little milestones.

@SW-User Does your son get to help? It's a great way to teach him self confidence. On the other hand, each task they help with takes about twice as long.

@Ontheroad I have him help me with regular house chores. Which yeah it takes twice as long and not always the tidiest 😆 but he’s learning and willing to try to help. The other stuff has been too dirty.
