I am a "fixer". Its a terrible thing because I always want to help and when I was younger actually overstepped my "authority" with disastrous results. Now I just let those I care about know that I care what is happening and offer to help if I can. If they want my help they will say so. Often times just letting them know I care and am thinking about them is all the help they require from me.

@TexChik That's amazing. I can relate to that so much. A spiritual journey is one that is taken alone as much as it makes us cringe.
I have come to believe my lesson from this is to see the beauty in the resilience they begin to nurture as a result. Like watching a flower bloom 🌹🌻🌺🌼🌷

@MySpiritEvolves being incessantly obsessed is like leaving a tap on in the house. It drains our energy...

@Unlearn Absolutely. It wasn't easy at all, but I am really happy I learned that about myself. I used to write it off as driven and stubborn. But a simple observation highlighting hypocrisy within myself was enough to shatter a mountain of negativity I didn't need.
They weren't trying to do anything but express what they saw, they were the perfect mirror I needed. It was really a beautiful moment when I look back.

@MySpiritEvolves yeah it's beautiful when you catch yourself making mistakes. I remember I used to have series of such moments whenever I used to be alone. I would start smiling at my mind trying to trick me back into several things. A person who has enough awareness can make a mile from an inch. Then there are those who make nothing from miles... 😊

Occasionally I feel like giving advice to people on here. So I give them my advice, it's likely not the best advice anyone can have.

I used to give blood but I don't any more. I suppose that's the most I did to help humanity.
MySpiritEvolves · 36-40
@Fluffybull That's ok! We all have moments of plenty and moments of focusing on us. I am glad you helped all that you did 🙌
