I respect our veterans, and after encountering too many in the shelter where I volunteered recently...

I believe, in addition to free education, job training and healthcare, they should never have to worry where their next meal comes from or about not having a roof over their heads.

That’s the very least their service has earned them. 🥺

The government is great at sending us overseas to fight in pointless wars. Once we return they don't care. "Thank you for your service" means virtually nothing.

@Crazywaterspring Yes, I’ve been seeing that. And that Trump, who used his efforts to avoid serving, would think he deserved a military style birthday celebration, was infuriating. 🤬
