I believe that they don't speak very highly of you either! 🤣
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@ArtieKat Well I am a working class guy who grew up on a council estate
ArtieKat · M
@Guitarman123 And your point is? I know plenty of people who grew up on council estates,who shone at school, went on to University and very successful careers.
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@ArtieKat point is that the royals don't think very highly of people who grew up in different conditions to them as they live on a different planet
ArtieKat · M
@Guitarman123 You're entitled to your delusions.
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@ArtieKat so they do care for working class and poorer members of society?
ArtieKat · M
@Guitarman123 You obviously don't watch the same news bulletins as me
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@ArtieKat when has king tampon Announced he's gonna help make life for people eaiser during the cost of living crises?
helenS · 36-40, F
@ArtieKat Bummer – you've been faster 😏
Purplerain78 · 41-45, F
@Guitarman123 The king has no real say over political matters.
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@Purplerain78 I know which adds to his pointlessness
ArtieKat · M
@Guitarman123 And you're really naive enough to believe that in a republic that the president and his coterie are going to care about the likes of you? Yeah, right!
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@ArtieKat rather a Democratic Republic where the leader is voted in rather than feudalism
ArtieKat · M
@Guitarman123 Dream on, son!
@Guitarman123 Your jealousy is showing
@ArtieKat He sounds like a lazy bum to me, more of a protester than a contributor.
helenS · 36-40, F
@Guitarman123 ... or where the tyrant is voted into office, the tribune of the plebs, fearless leader, the savior of the people. A republic is typically destroyed by elections. It's important to keep that in mind.
@helenS Nothing but corruption at all levels.
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@helenS so having no votes is ideal for you?
@Guitarman123 Look at it this way, the Royals cannot be corrupted as they do not campaign for office, Parliament MPs on the other hand, they cannot be trusted to not be corruptable.
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@NativePortlander1970 they aren't trustworthy and live in a different universe. They have no idea how regular people live nor would piss on us if we're on fire
@Guitarman123 Boris Johnson is elected, do you think he cares about the peasants either?
ArtieKat · M
@Guitarman123
live in a different universe
I think it's you who lives in a different universe. Have you never heard of The Prince's Trust and heard the praise from disadvantaged people who benefited? Or Seen the homeless initiative of Prince William, praised so highly by people who work with the homeless? That goes against your bigoted narrative doesn't it?
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@ArtieKat then why does homeless still exist in the UK? Why are the royals still accepting tax payers money during the cost of living crises?
ArtieKat · M
@Guitarman123
why does homeless still exist in the UK
Have you ever been to a drop-in centre for the homeless? A very close friend of mine runs one and each year I cook for their Christmas Dinner. Their needs are complex and, sadly, no magic wand is going to fix that.
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@ArtieKat that just proves homelessness exists still in the UK and that the royals don't actually care
