Why do social conservatives pull this trick so consistently? The answer is that they know they're being completely fucking unreasonable, and the only way to make themselves look bad is to hide the context.

@BlueVeins well irony and hypocrisy seems to be the SW liberal way
@SW-User That's a terrible argument. I don't support a 'hard' mandate, but the logic behind that was pretty obvious. The issue of vaccination is a conflict between your right to bodily autonomy and my right to life. The Dems favored the latter since vaccination is a tiny violation of bodily autonomy, and dying of COVID-19 is a gigantic invasion of right to life. The same issue doesn't exist with abortions, unless you're brain-dead enough to believe that first trimester fetuses are people.
Vaccines reduce the risk of COVID-19, including the risk of severe illness and death among people who are fully vaccinated. In addition to data from clinical trials, evidence from real-world vaccine effectiveness studies show that COVID-19 vaccines help protect against COVID-19 infections, with or without symptoms (asymptomatic infections). Vaccine effectiveness against hospitalizations has remained relatively high over time, although it tends to be slightly lower for older adults and for people with weakened immune systems.
Today, some of those data were published in CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR), demonstrating that Delta infection resulted in similarly high SARS-CoV-2 viral loads in vaccinated and unvaccinated people. High viral loads suggest an increased risk of transmission and raised concern that, unlike with other variants, vaccinated people infected with Delta can transmit the virus.

@BlueVeins that confirms it doesn't stop the spread there's still not confirmation it ever did and most people on both sides agreed with that. https://english.elpais.com/science-tech/2021-11-19/why-the-covid-19-vaccines-do-not-stop-the-virus-from-circulating.html https://time.com/5937868/do-vaccines-stop-covid-19-spread/
@SW-User It WOULD, if everybody was getting the vaccine. But since you're not, and millions of people just like you are not, it doesn't prove a damn thing.
