I Am Going to Say Something Controversial

Is it close-minded to say you wouldn't date outside your race? Yes. To make that as a declaration with certainty or with near certainty is close-minded. To have a preference for people inside your or any other race is not close-minded, but the moment you declare you will never date outside your race, your mind is closed.

I kind of agree. However, some who do say they won't date outside of their race say so because of their ignorant/prejudice parents. He or she might want to but the fear of disapproval from the parents restricts them.

@SW-User That is a very good point. I have seen a video of a girl whose father was in the Klan, and the girl said she was friends with some African Americans and that if her dad found out, he'd kill her. And her dad was pressuring her to become the first female imperial wizard of the Klan, which she was afraid to tell him she wants no part of. She was only 14. Of course, this is an extreme case, but nonetheless, it is a related point.
