I Am Going to Say Something Controversial

If perceived "patriotism" is directly correlated to sports viewership ratings (as Trump suggested when he said NFL ratings are tanking because of protests) then how come NASCAR which he just praised for its extreme "patriotism" has had ratings steadily falling off a cliff for the last decade?

Cause it's kinda boring? At least to me it is. I'd rather watch football than NASCAR.

@SW-User Ugh, me too. I couldn't recreationally watch people drive unless it was rush hour on the highway and the risk of women and children also getting hurt is present.

@SW-User My dad always watches it. And I don't see the appeal. Never have. You drive in a circle. Hell, my dad even falls asleep during them. That's how boring they are.

But how do we determine what sport is patriotic?

@SW-User Has to be competitive hot dog eating right?

@SW-User 🤢 I seriously hope not.
