@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout That would actually be a novel idea if the Left wasn't rewriting them.

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout Cuba used to be known as the jewel of the Caribbean. Now we see how socialism/communism has rewarded its people for the past 67 years.

@Barefooter25 I remember seeing currency blowing down the street because it was worth less than the paper it was printed on in Venezuela…
It was the richest country at one point..
Yay socialism and the state ✊

The Pilgrims actually experimented with socialism for a while after they landed on Plymouth. They immediately found out it would never work so they scrapped it completely. William Bradford wrote that the system was just as bad as their first winter in Massachusetts.

@Barefooter25 I feel that, since I live in the very town where the Pilgrims landed. I have seen William Bradford's grave. Having read the same as above elsewhere in my time, I recall that the REASON it didn't work was that the strong young men who were capable of doing all of the hardest work rebelled, and would no longer volunteer their time to help ALL the other people in the colony.
The company in England which had FINANCED their colony and their ship and their venture had proposed communal sharing of ALL work, the profit from said work was then to be sent back to England to pay their costs.

@Wildstrawberries Most sane nations want the smartest, best educated children possible. They know that their children are the future of their nation.
In the United States, our children's minds are being destroyed and undermined in an effort to destroy our nation.

@4meAndyou I don't know what to say, as I am not in the United States.
I think in general , if the world has not so astute citizens, it is easier to hoodwink them, by governments, etc.
The big bad people have agendas; I would love to meet one without an agenda, that is corrupt or painful or counterproductive to the 'little person', aka the common man woman and child.

@Wildstrawberries As a generalization, that is quite true. There are always power hungry politicians trying to hoodwink the common people.
AS a US citizen, I assure you that our educational system IS under attack, and our children are suffering for it.
