The US has never got anywhere near socialism.
If anything is tearing the US apart, it is dumb authoritarian nationalism and a denial of liberal democracy and the rule of law by a significant portion of the population and the body politic.

How would you even know since you done live here ?????
The more money they take from hard working people and give it to those who aren't doing anything to earn it IS socialism which is being shoved down peoples throats against our will ... which i believe is the practice of socislism

@pdockal I have lived in the US and I follow US politics very closely and have for years. The US has never known socialism! That is just a fact.
For the hard of thinking, a country without universal healthcare cannot possibly be considered socialist (that does NOT mean that countries with universal healthcare are necessarily socialist, however), and that is just one example.

I never said we're socialist
I said we have socialistic practices .... we are moving towards socialism
Just because you've lived here briefly doesn't mean your an expert
I always laugh @ outsiders who make comments without any experience

@pdockal The topic was "Why is socialism tearing the US apart?"
Given that there is no socialism in the US, it cannot possibly be said that socialism is tearing the country apart. QED.
How do you know how long I lived in the US? I don't claim to be an expert but I will bet that I know FAR more about the US than you do about the rest of the world.
Given that I DO have experience, I am glad that are you are not laughing at me (you would be foolish to do so).

Just becsuse something isn't labeled socialism doesn't mean the program isnt and we're getting more socialist every day with the programs that are being shoved down our throats
They keep raising taxes for these programs and eventually there won't be enough people paying in and more taking out etc etc etc

@pdockal The US is so far from socialism that your claims are simply risible.
