Why is socialism tearing the US apart ?

I don't think the US has any real socialism.

What's tearing it apart (and worse than the UK) are the usual woke snowflakes (woke in the populist term people)

@BritishFailedAesthetic What is tearing the nation apart is a minority of right-wing nutjobs who want the US to be the way it was in the 1940s, when minorities were second-class citizens and women were subservient to men.

@BritishFailedAesthetic Yeah... the woke snowflakes were so problematic, that a majority was formed spearheaded by a far-right-populist that attacked the rights that citizens obtained over time. We can all blame the snowflakes for that one.
@Vin53 😂😂😂👍

I don't think you understand- I'm not a Trumper! 🙄
Vin53 · M
@BritishFailedAesthetic Idk if you know it or not but SW is where sarcasm goes to die. heh
@Vin53 Can you and co make your posts more interesting? You're covering the trial like it's a sports hobby and it's getting kind of boring.

Talk about some social issues with substance.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@BritishFailedAesthetic Like rights of citizens that are getting eroded by authoritans supported by religious fundamentalists?
Vin53 · M
@BritishFailedAesthetic I can't make any promises. Mainly because I have no idea what you're referring to, trial??
@Kwek00 Sure, anything besides the trial 😖
@Vin53 Prosecution of trump, etc.
@Kwek00 Tell us ONE, JUST ONE RIGHT while Trump was POTUS that was taken away, we'll wait.
@BritishFailedAesthetic Neither am I, but he did do a lot of good for America.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@BritishFailedAesthetic I don't believe I made any other comment on the trial, then that people need to let the courts do their jobs. And that I hope all of them get a fair trial. Citizens deserve that much.
@Kwek00 I am an Atheist, I don't see any of my rights that was taken away by the right wing the rights I have seen eroding has been coming from the left.
@Kwek00 Didn't mean you- you talk about a wide variety of topics.

@BritishFailedAesthetic Americans are too afraid to scream and cry as you depict us. We actually work way harder than anyone else in the developed world and longer hours and put up with way more exploitations at the same time. We are serious and yes we feel trapped and a stronger workers movement would sure help.

Some grown up healthy international SW type support is always helpful. No cynicism spoken here.
@PleasurePunch
stronger workers movement would sure help.
Wow, we can agree- separate topic though!
PleasurePunch · 100+
@BritishFailedAesthetic I heard that.
@Kwek00 That's on McConnell, not Trump, abortion was kicked back to the states, not taken away , what gay rights are on the chopping block, gerrymandering is done by the census, and voter id laws only prevent non citizens from voting, including those that immigrated legally.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@NativePortlander1970 That's such a bullshit argument:
@Kwek00 That's on McConnell, not Trump, abortion was kicked back to the states, not taken away
Everyone knew what would happen if you kick it back to the states. Some states would take away a right that citizens obtained on a federal level. Meaning that U.S. citizens in those states would loose rights that existed before and were now taken away.

Trump and McConnel both enabled this. This idea that you can just blame one guy is stupid. And even pointing at both of them in particulair by itself, is stupid. When you got an entire team cheering them on. Hence why in both of my replies I didn't focus soley on one person. I mentioned a majority and a party.

Maybe you need too read Clarence Thomas' who mentioned that "Griswold vs. Connecticut" in 1965 could be up for review. "Lawrence v. Texas" in 2003. "Obergefell v. Hodges" in 2015. The door has been put open, we are just waiting for some christian activists to create an opening and put it on the agenda.

If it's done by census or not... the objective is really clear. To deprive people of their vote and create minority rule. Saying it's done by census, is argueing that slaves should keep their mouth shut because it was legal. If you don't understand that it's not done, you are r*tarded. This blade also cuts both ways btw.

If you want Voter-ID laws, then make the governement work to make sure every citizen has a legit Voter-ID. This is really common practise in loads of countries. In Belgium, the state provides your ID card and it's obliged by law to have one with you. Sometimes an administrative fees is counted, however, if you are in a bracket that can't afford it, the state needs to provide. Because your right to vote, is one of the most important rights in a liberal democracy. It's your way of participating in creating that: "by the people, for the people" governement. Any party that puts in a roadblock and doesn't want to do anything to mitigate the issues, segments of the poppulations are having to make it across that block, are cheating.

And this is really clear out of interviews that these bums give btw:

Robert Gleason 2012:

Voter ID really important... because it cut Obamas' votes by 5%.

Glenn Grothman 2016

Voter ID is going to help us win the elections.

Mike Turzai 2012

Voter ID will make Mitt Romney win the elections.

@NativePortlander1970 Here, I almost forgot my fav.

In North Carolina (also the state with the most dumbass electoral map after gerrymandering btw) 3 judges ruled on the Voter-ID laws. One of them wrote:
After reviewing the evidence showing that the General Assembly sought to use race data to determine the list of qualifying forms of ID under H.B. 589, and excluded forms of ID that African American voters held disproportionately to white voters, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit invalidated the law, holding that the General Assembly “target[ed] African Americans with almost surgical precision.”
