@St0ut Really? How about France for half of it's governments since WW2, or Italy in the same period. Or the one or two in the UK (Harold Wilson, Clement Atlee straight after Churchill after WW2)...All three didn't have a police state.
@St0ut That's democracy..Governments aren't voted in, they're voted out. But the argument you were making wasn't their success: It was that socialist governments are the definition of a police state. Demonstrably untrue.
@St0ut What? They were initially voted in and needed no police state. Conservative governments were equally voted out. No police state. Italy had almost continuous socialist governments until well into the 80s from WW2. No police state.
