Wealthy billionaires need the money from Social Security

Many countries (including mine) have the seniors benefit (call is Social security or a pension) means tested. So if you have over a certain amount of income or personal wealth, it cuts out..Its obscene that the filthy rich recieve a benefit meant to protect the poor. the same applies to medical and other support government benefits..😷
@whowasthatmaskedman We have paid into social security for our entire working lives. This is NOT AN ENTITLEMENT. Frankly, if a millionaire or billionaire has honesty paid into social security, then they should get the benefit if they claim it. Now, YOU DON’T HAVE TO CLAIM IT.

Medicare charges the wealthy more through IRMA. What’s more, the wealthy are less likely to pursue their Medicare benefits beyond what their insurance charges Medicare.

@KunsanVeteran Valid points. Because of how your system is organised. Ours (like our universal health cover) was a surcharge on income tax. So we dont have an account to pay into. But of course that means the government can select who needs the protection...😷
At least you don't have a nanny state!
Americans hated socialism and tolerated war - and now everyone will suffer. To the last living thing. Lolz,!
tRUMP is selecting the absolutely least qualified people to head critical agencies and departments AND IT MUST END!

Lutnick joins Kennedy, Duffy, Collins, Bondi, Noem, (the list goes on and on and on) as incompetents who have declared their loyalty to tRUMP over our Constitution. Half of his appointees belong in the insane asylum; the other half in prison (along with tRUMP).

@KunsanVeteran Correct although he never put his hand on the Bible so it means the oath is invalid
@justanothername That is not true. When a military officer takes their commissioning oath, they just raise their right had and swear (or affirm—their personal choice). They can be prosecuted for not upholding their oath.
