@RocktheHouse Yes, so children need to learn, why not learn the kids about the world out there? Because the parents don't like it, kids thus have to stay ignorant and swallow the hatred that get spooned in from home. Why do we send kids to school? Because teachers are educated in their toppics while parents very often aren't. If we would let parents run the education system, we'll just get as smart as the parents are, while teachers should be busy getting better at those things that they teach, because it's their job.

Also, if you think that children don't get educated on straight people relationships then you have never read a love story containing a heterosexual relationship, never watched a movie containing a heteosexual relationship, never watched a cartoon with a heteosexual relationship, never looked around at all the heteosexual couples that send their children to school and never looked at heterosexual teachers bringing their love to a school gathering. We are practically swimming in experiences concerning heterosexual relationships. But in these small little towns full of people that feel threatened by a gay relationship, the gay relationships are still taboo and therefore the children have to stay ignorant. The only way these parents that support this taboo talk about gays, is in a negative light, exactly because of their disgust for it. Disgust that comes from ignorance, socialisation and very often some religious intepretation that they too will give to their children. So that the school kinda wants to open that door so that kids are at least aware that gay people are out there isn't propaganda or indoctrination it's just facing a reality that parents that feel threatened by this reality can't deal with.

@Spoiledbrat What these people are moaning about, also isn't direct. And if you let this segment of republicans get their way, people won't read about them anymore. Because that's the aim.

@Spoiledbrat Actually that's not true, have you ever watched any film with gay characters? The film is usually about something else like a mystery or love story. In other news, conservatives make a big fuss over characters switched to being bisexual like Superman's son.

The Superman movie itself isn't about bisexuality lol it's about superheros with a different plot altogether. The son being bisexual doesn't have anything to do with anything at all.

Yet anti gay people still make a fuss of it. It's 💯% not because of what you said.

Teaching tolerance and understanding of homosexual people or minorities is not the same as teaching hatred of white straight people. To say that someone else's life matters does not mean that we think people should kill you.

As a straight white man, I find no problem accepting that others deserve equal treatment. Why would I?

You can always point to an extreme, because there are always extremes. but labeling the extrems "the left" is just a way to demonise people, it's not significant in reality but when you blow it up it gets at least the optics to be significant.

XYZ Company is hiring. They have 3 jobs available for hiring. Four people apply for the Job.
One GLBTQ person, 1 Black person, 1 female, and 1 white guy.
Who gets Hired?
According to the Law, regardless of Qualifications, the White guy will never ever get Hired.
I remember back in the 1980's, I applied for a job. They had 2 positions that needed to be filled. 13 people showed up on the day specified. 11 white people and 2 black people. So who got hired. The Interviewer showed up, called the 2 black people to follow him, and then said to the rest of us, better luck next time. Affirmative Action Laws state that Any Minority must be hired before any White Person. Now is that Fair. According to 99.9% of the Left, it is indeed Fair.
