If some criminals kick your door in around 2:00 A.M. are you rally going to call the police and then just sit Idly by while the thugs do whatever they want? And I do mean whatever they want!

@BritishFailedAesthetic A baseball bat!? LOL! Criminal are going to be armed, even those across the pond. Home invasions are rare here but they do happen. I'm not going to count on statistics to keep my family safe. My friend, a gun is the great equalizer.

AR15 isn't an "assault rifle", it's a sporting rifle (the most popular in the US in fact). The term "assault rifle" only applies to military/infantry automatic battle rifles (m16, m4, scar, etc.) and is more a descriptor of their function than the weapon itself.

@BritishFailedAesthetic Europeans think it's strange that we're allowed to be armed; We think it's strange that you only allow police to be armed. I mean, what makes them so special vs citizens? Do you somehow believe that the government/police are infallible/above reproach? And when they inevitably abuse their power, what's your defense plan against oppression & tyranny?
