I believe people have a right to choose how their life will play out. Although I love babies, and hope people can adapt to change I’ve seen how a baby changes someone’s life in both positive and negative ways.

@FreeSpirit1 Yea, for me this view is quite personal because my sister having a baby at 18 ruined her career and her future because she married the guy and now it’s just problem after problem.
@FreeSpirit1 It probably isn’t something most women take lightly. But for some women, it’s also meant that their lives weren’t ruined, for example, after being raped or having been the victim of incest as a child.
@Dariqueen I agree that it’s a personal decision between the woman involved and her doctor. No one else is going to carry the pregnancy or go through the delivery for her.
@bijouxbroussard Definitely, and for some women it's the way to get rid of an unwanted pregnancy. Of the 900,000 abortions performed in a year I'm sure the number of rapes and incest pregnancies are very low.
@FreeSpirit1 But because rape is underreported to begin with, there is no way to know that for certain. It actually is irrelevant, because if a woman doesn’t want to give birth, how safe is the child if she’s forced ?
